Beyond the murky veil,
through the solar silence,
you flicker with timeless patience.
Waiting to be noticed,
flirting with quiet grace,
you hold your glow in a sacred place. The stargazers will spot you in time,
although it may take a lifetime,
of wandering aimlessly in the dark,
dancing around your spark,
Moving closer and then further away,
magnetic rhythm gone astray. The soul seekers will hold you in their heart,
and honour your glow like a guiding chart,
they will walk towards you in a steady stream,
with trembling steps and fractured dreams,
Through every storm you help them transcend,
for they know you are a friend. And when at last they learn to bask in your light,
to recognise the beacon only the soul can sight,
they'll see you, not as distant or far,
but as you’ve always been:
their quiet, constant, guiding North Star.
There’s a quiet presence within each of us, a guiding light that doesn’t shout or demand, but waits. Patiently. Through all the noise, detours, and dark nights of wandering, it flickers with unwavering devotion. This poem is an ode to that inner knowing, the part of you that has always knows the way, even when your outer world is clouded, difficult and overwhelming.
Your North Star isn’t outside of you. It’s not found in striving or perfection. It’s the radiant whisper within, a feeling of deep alignment, of soul recognition. Often ignored, sometimes outshone, but never led astray — and when you finally turn toward it, you’ll find it lighting up your way.
An Invitation to Reflect:
When was the last time you felt guided by something deeper than logic, a quiet pull, a sense of “this is right”?
What does your North Star feel like to you? Is it a vision, a value, a feeling, a whisper?
In what ways might you create more space to listen for it, and trust it?
Let this be your reminder: you don’t need to force the path. Just keep turning toward the light that’s already within you.
